We knew Dale and Jennifer for many years from the church. We knew we could trust them…they’re honest and have great integrity. I’ve recommended them to a lot of people. Right away, Dale gave us some valuable advice. He nicely suggested we should clean up the yard...we had lots of growth in the back. We also had trees in front. Not only did he suggest we trim them, he even came over with his saw and helped!

There were a few things that they suggested inside the house — like moving a few pictures around. Their photographer came and took pictures, both inside and out. Because we had such a nice view, so the photos were a real asset. They also had a surveyor come over to check for things like an oil tank on the property. Dale was so careful to check with what the plans say.

They took all the precautions, which was important. They were very exacting about everything. They are such a great combination. Jennifer was so very particular with signing documents, and keeping everyone completely up to date on everything.

After the sale, I said: ‘Dale, now you’ll have to find us a place to live!’ We really had no idea where we’d go! Someone at the church had said “What about ’Navvy Jack West?’ — that’s the building where we live now. We’d had a view, and were lucky to get the same…only closer to the water!

When the house sold, Dale negotiated a rental back for four months and, as it turned out, we needed every month to do renovations in the apartment we bought. He even found a lady who did design and supervised the sub trades. He just knew all the right people! We thoroughly enjoy the apartment. Such nice people, and everyone is so friendly.

Dale and Jennifer did a lot of work to find out what was available and, in his sweet way, Dale convinced the gentleman — who lived in Victoria and represented the owner — to meet us. The owner was reluctant but Dale got us together, and his negotiation was vital. Of course price was important…we all want to hang on to the money we get.
