Something to remember when buying that home

Now that more homes are likely to be sold, as the real estate market conditions improve, it’s important that buyers make sure to pay attention to something that can be easy to overlook:
Home inspections.
Easy to overlook? You’re looking for a new home. You find it. It’s the perfect house. Home inspection? Well, what if something surfaces about your “perfect home” and you don’t want to risk losing it?
A home inspection is advisable, not to discourage you from buying that perfect home but to make sure there’s nothing beneath the surface of what you see that makes you want to make it yours, no matter what. Home inspectors look “below the surface” for hidden flaws that are going to cost the new homeowner (that’s you) for repairs, down the road. Specifically, home inspectors make sure there are no structural issues, specifically with the foundation, the roof, the plumbing and electricity.
A recent despatch from Real Estate Wire offered a detailed look at a home inspection for the home you want. The first items on the agenda are: (1) create a checklist (2) take a trusted companion with you for the inspection, as a second pair of eyes and (3) be sure to hire a professional inspector.
