Comprehensive theory of affordable housing in Vancouver

The subject of “affordable housing in big cities” is everywhere now, and it’s a challenge to try and sort through all the theories to address increasing a city’s density and at the same time keeping the cost of “living” there in check.
Housing prices in Vancouver are always in the news because it traditionally is ranked among the “world’s most expensive cities.” As more attention is placed on how to make living in Vancouver more affordable, more is being written about it.
For readers who enjoy analyzing the subject, there’s a story in the current issue of Business in Vancouver that is interesting, one that examines the relationship between wages and home prices, as well as land values and building values. It’s in-depth, historical and offers theories that could lead to at least possible solutions.
