But really, you should relax.
The value of your property is not determined by your assessment. It could have an effect on what your home is perceived to be worth, but that’s not always accurate. A good realtor knows the market is what affects home values, not the assessed value.
And if your assessment drops…well, that’s good, no matter how you decide to spend your little “tax windfall.”
