Markets dictate prices, whatever commodity is

Whether you’re selling that iPhone you no longer need or a three-bedroom home, the market usually dictates what you get.
If the market is soft, as Vancouver’s real estate market has been, you may receive a low-ball offer for your house.
Don’t be offended.
A low-ball offer means somebody wants to buy your house. Now you’re just dealing with the right price, and history shows you have a better chance of increasing that offer than finding another one.
That applies to used iPhones, too.
